TRANSPORT PLANNING FOR LAND-USE INTEGRATION AND DEMAND ASSESSMENT

Abstract

This article focuses on transport planning based on model integration. The study demonstrates the use of an activity-based measure of affordability as a variable in the choice of residence. The results show that this indicator is a very significant variable in the model. In particular, the logarithmic sum of destination choice in the activity choice model demonstrates that with increasing accessibility, the population has the opportunity to consider more remote areas for the application of labor due to a rational assessment of demand, and reducing transportation costs
