Abstract

Let A \mathcal A be a C ∗ C^\ast -algebra, and let μ \mu be a (local) quasi-trace on A \mathcal A . Then μ \mu is linear if, and only if, the restriction of μ \mu to the closed unit ball of A \mathcal A is uniformly weakly continuous.
