Abstract

Let λ = 2 \lambda = 2 cos ( π / 5 ) (\pi /5) and let G G be the Hecke group associated to λ \lambda . In this article, we show that for τ \tau a prime ideal in Z [ λ ] \mathbb {Z}[\lambda ] , the congruence subgroups G 0 ( τ ) G_{0}(\tau ) of G G are self-normalized in P S L 2 ( R ) PSL_{2}(\mathbb {R}) .
