Abstract

With this systematic review, it is aimed to review the studies investigating the sexual health/reproductive health problems of women in prison and to examine the data on women's sexual/reproductive health of the process of being in prison by forming a basis for research to be done in the field of health. Key words of literature review in the study are “prison; health; woman; sexual", "prison; health; woman; reproductive health ”, “prison; woman; reproductive health” and “prison; woman; We focused on 12 studies in Pub-Med, Science Direct, Google Scholar and National Thesis Center database published between 2005-2021 using "sexual health". This systematic review meta-aggregation approach was carried out using the steps of the phrase preferred reporting items (PRISMA) for systematic reviews Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). The PRISMA Flow Chart was used for the study protocol. A checklist was used to evaluate the methodological study and a best-evidence synthesis analysis was performed. When the results of the research are evaluated, it is seen that the prison process has negative effects on women's sexual and reproductive health in many ways. In addition, as a result of this systematic review, it was revealed that there is a need for better methodologically designed studies in the future.
