Abstract

The second part of article presents the results of the analysis of modern and newest museums in order to identify the most characteristic of architectural techniques for building daylighting systems. Some trends in the arrangement of overhead and side lighting in public spaces of museums, as well as in exhibition halls, have been identified. The architecture of light is shown in two variants of development: a light field and local light effects. Each of the options provides architects with a wide field for creativity. The study presents museums built by leading modern masters and architectural bureaus: F. Gary, J. Weymouth, J. Nouvel, R. Richotti, D. Libeskind, Coop Himmelblau, and Nieto Sobejiano.
