Abstract

Development of two-channel acousto-optic spectral devices with enhanced functionality is described. Approaches to development of multifunctional acousto-optic devices capable to register different types of optical information (spatial distribution, spectra, polarisation characteristics) are discussed. Opportunities to register multi-dimensional complementary data based on Bragg light diffraction on ultrasonic waves in a uniaxial crystal are analysed. It is demonstrated that such approach may be developed on the basis of implementation of simultaneous diffraction of two light beams in planes rotated relative to each other by a small angle. Such enhancement of the acousto-optic filter operational concept allows to go beyond the classic constraints imposed on their characteristics.
