1. Abigail L Male is a PhD student in the Tavassoli group at the University of Southampton (UK). Prior to this, she studied for her Masters in Chemistry at the University of Southampton. As part of her PhD she has identified cyclic peptide inhibitors of protein–protein interactions involved in virulence in pathogenic bacteria.
2. Ali Tavassoli is a Reader in chemical biology, jointly appointed to Chemistry, and the faculty of Medicine at the University of Southampton. The Tavassoli laboratories’ research interests are at the interface of chemistry and biology; developing biological and molecular tools, high-throughput screening methodologies and uncovering compounds that tackle diseases through inhibition of specific protein–protein interactions.
