CERTAIN FEATURES OF THE CONTEMPORARY STATE SOVEREIGNTY IN THE INFORMATION SPACE

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to clarify the concept of State sovereignty and the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the general theory of State and law in the context of dynamically changing, multidirectional processes of globalization and isolationism. The authors use a historical approach, methods of observation, analysis, as well as statistical and formal law methods. Results: in order to study State law reality in the changed conditions, the authors propose to rethink the traditional concept of State sovereignty and to use the categories of formal and actual State sovereignty. It is noted that the State may lose not only actual state sovereignty, but also formal and legal State sovereignty. The factors of weakening State sovereignty in the information sphere are identified. It is concluded that the State sovereignty in modern conditions remains one of the most important permanent values, and the State itself is a guarantor of social stability.
