Abstract
This research entitled "Use of Instagram Social Media on @yhoophii_official Accountas a media of communication with customers". The purpose of this research is to find out how theuse of Instagram social media on the @yhoophii_official account as a media of communication withcustomers. Instagram is an application to share photos, videos, apply digital filters and share themto various network services including Instagram itself. The method used in this research is aqualitative method with a descriptive approach, using data collection methods with interviews,observation, and documentation. The theory used in this research is the theory of New Media byPierre Levy. The location of this research is located at Jalan Kapten Marzuki No. 528 C,Palembang, South Sumatera. Informants in this research consisted of key informants and supportinginformants. The key informant in this research is Sri Rahayu Widianti as the admin of the@yhoophii_official Instagram account. And two supporting informants in this research is Yoza DwiCahaya and Fitria Wulandari as a customers. The results of this research show that the@yhoophii_official account is used to share information about products, store operating hours, howto shop online, all things related to the Yhoophii Shop, and to become a media of communicationwith customers. Customers can interact by providing questions through the @yhoophii_officialaccount which will be answered by the admin.
