1. If we attempt to use either of these methods on the unimpregnated sample (vacuum approximately 10-100 microns) the predicted results are too large by a factor of at least three. Care must be taken to apply these prediction methods when the impregnant will allow sufficient thermal communication between the paper layers. If this is not the case the dominant resistance will be the contact resistance between dielectric layers.
