2. The spatial directions of all the 51 steps which were found to exceed a threshold of approx. 500 nT were plotted in a polar diagram for azimuth and coelevation shown in Fig. 4. Circles represent steps in the respective angles, whereas crosses belong to vectors in the inverse (mirror) direction. All these steps accumulate in clearly separated groups which must belong to on/off switching of typical current distributions of the Spacelab/Shuttle system.
