Abstract
A novel sustainable AOS-based biodegradable detergent was produced and its physical properties were investigated. The functional metrics of detergent performance are equivalent to, and sometimes better than, commercial samples such as Surf Excel. The detergent formulations based on AOS are made with the least amount of Sodium Tripolyphosphate, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, and acid slurry, which are utilized in excess commercial samples and contribute to pollution. All of these samples had good performance in terms of surface tension decrease, foam volume, and viscosity.
