The study shows that the pre-test knowledge scores was 7.52 and the post-test knowledge scores was 21.96. The paired “t” value was 15.13, p<0.05 level of significance. The study shows a significant increase in the knowledge of the patients after the administration of the self-instructional module. There was a significant association between occupation and post-test knowledge scores.
