Abstract
The research was carried out with financial support of Perm Scientific and Educational Center "Rational Subsoil Use" (2023), the project "New materials and technologies for medicine".
The article provides a review of literature on the use of simulation learning in medical education. The review used articles on simulation in training at the specialty, residency and continuing postgraduate medical education levels. The research has demonstrated that simulation training leads to improved performance among future physicians. Simulation in the learning process allows improving teamwork and communication. With the introduction of medical accreditation and opening of simulation centers at medical universities throughout the country, simulation training is a basic principle of medical education in the Russian Federation. As medical simulation becomes more common, there is a need to develop new methods providing increase in effectiveness of training specialists including medical staff of the highest qualification.
