Abstract
Periodic modulation of intracavity losses is shown theoretically to result in a change in the shape of the alternating frequency dithering created in a Zeeman ring laser when a magnetic field is applied to the active medium. A mechanism is proposed of a vibrational zero shift in a Zeeman laser gyroscope due to modulation of intracavity losses during vibration of the resonator mirrors.
