Abstract
: Fasciola hepatica, which is common in the world, is a zoonotic trematode that affects the liver of many animals, especially sheep and cattle. In this study, it was aimed to determine the changes that may occur in the coagulation profile in cattle with Fasciola hepatica detected. The material of the study consisted of 282 cattle on farms. Within the scope of the study, according to the clinical and laboratory results of these cattle; 20 cattle were included in the diseased group and 20 cattle were included in the healthy group. After the general clinical examination of the animals to be studied, stool and blood samples were taken. Stool samples taken from these animals Fasciola spp. Sedimentation-zinc sulfate flotation method was used to determine the eggs. In addition, Fasciola hepatica antibodies from serum samples were investigated by ELISA method. Coagulation profiles were examined from blood samples taken into tubes with Na-citrate. As a result of the coagulation analysis, it was determined that positive samples caused prolongation in activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT), Prothrombin time (PT) and INR (International Normalized Ratio) . In conclusion, it was concluded that chronic fasciolosis may cause significant changes in hematological and hemostatic parameters in cattle.
