Abstract
Using the solution of the Lame problem, we analyzed the stress-strain state (SSS) of a cylinder made of carbon forced carbon composite material (CFC) for the case of fixed ends. It is shown that the thermal stress safety factor is close to four. In addition, an engineering analysis of the strength of CFC cylinder due to possible shrinkage of the
fibers was carried out in the work. It is shown that the safety factor is equal to 0.386 and can be the cause of the destruction of the CFC during manufacture and operation.
