Abstract
The energy and design parameters of some vircator systems are considered. Calculated cutoff frequencies for the main E and H modes of the DIN-2K accelerator waveguides with electron beam parameters: ~ 15 kA and ~ 185 kV. The characteristic frequencies of oscillations of the virtual cathode depending on the distance of the anode-cathode
gap were calculated. Experimentally obtained amplitude-frequency spectra (up to 6 GHz) in the far zone of electromagnetic radiation (Fraunhofer zone) for a horn antenna.
