Abstract
Studies on the influence of technological parameters (cathode-substrate distance, substrate temperature, bias voltage, arc current) of vacuum-arc titanium deposition coatings have shown that the deposition rate from one cathode is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the sample and the cathode surface and proportional to the angle of inclination of the sample relative to the normal to the cathode surface. Sputtered titanium coatings at optimal parameters have 1.25 times higher cavitation resistance than bulk titanium. Among the alloyed vacuum-arc coatings TiAl, TiZr, and TiNi, coatings of the TiAl and TiNi systems have the highest resistance to cavitation and
abrasive wear.
