Abstract
The formation of cavity denuded zones (DZ) near grain boundary (GB) in 18Cr10NiTi-ODS steel with the addition of Y2O3-ZrO2 nano-oxides irradiated with energetic Ar-ions in the dose range of 40…110 displacements per atom (dpa) with simultaneously implanted argon to the levels of 0.08…7 at.% at temperatures of 550…650 ºC was investigated. Transmission electron microscopy has been used to study the microstructure evolution and width
of cavity-denuded zones. Denuded zones are found to be dependent of the irradiation conditions, such as irradiation dose, dose rate and temperature. The impact of grain refinement and nanosized oxide precipitates on the characteristics of DZ are examined.
