Relationship of the environment and educational space of the school as a condition for the development of the personality of students

Abstract

Environment and space are important pedagogical concepts. The purpose of the study is to discover the relationship between the educational environment and the educational space, and synthesize them into a general model. The article describes the main pedagogical definitions of environment and space; highlighted the main complex of environments that socialize the personality; the components of the educational space have been clarified and the author's definition of "educational space" has been given. For the first time, a model is presented that compares the components of these terms and this is the scientific novelty of the research. As a result, common elements were identified that indicate the existing relationship between space and environment. The agreement of concepts is illustrated. It is concluded that the special pedagogical organization of educational environments allows to form the educational space of the school. The findings can be used in pedagogical practice: when developing lessons, a system of educational work, extracurricular activities.
