Uji Adaptasi Beberapa Varietas Unggul Baru (Vub) Padi (Oryza Sativa) Gogo Terhadap Lahan Podsolik Merah Kuning (PMK) Di Provinsi Riau

Abstract

Padi gogo merupakan salah satu tanaman padi di lahan kering, ditanam sekali setahun pada musim hujan. Produktivitas padi gogo di Riau masih rendah pada tingkat rerata 2,72 ton/ha disebabkan banyak faktor diantaranya adalah padi gogo merupakan salah satu ragam budidaya padi yaitu penanaman padi di lahan kering. Balai Besar Penelitian Padi telah menghasilkan Varietas Unggul Baru (VUB) padi gogo untuk pertanaman di lahan kering. Beberapa VUB yang telah dirilis diantaranya adalah: Situ Patenggang, Inpago 8, Inpago 9, Inpago 10, dan Inpago 11. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan Podsolik Merah Kuning dilaksanakan Maret 2021 berlokasi di Instalasi Penelitian Dan Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (IP2TP) kebun percobaan BPTP Riau, Jl. Raya Kubang, Desa Kubang Jaya, Kabupaten Kampar Riau. Parameter yang diamati pada penelitian ini adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan produktif, panjang malai, berat 1000 butir dan bobot gabah per plot. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh adaptasi varietas unggul baru padi gogo di lahan PMK di Provinsi Riau. Percobaan dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan adalah varietas unggul baru padi gogo sebanyak 5 varietas dengan 4 kali ulangan, sehingga diperoleh 20 plot satuan percobaan dan setiap plot terdiri dari 16 tanaman dan 4 tanaman dijadikan sebagai sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa varietas Inpago 9 merupakan varietas yang sesuai pada lahan Podsolik Merah Kuning, yakni terlihat dari parameteri berat 1000 butir dan berat gabah/plot, dimana Inpago 9 memiliki hasil tertinggi dibandingkan 4 varietas lainnya (Situ Patenggang, Inpago 8, Inpago, 10, dan Inpago 11. Abstract Upland rice is one of the rice crops in dry land, planted once a year in the rainy season. Upland rice productivity in Riau is still low at an average level of 2.72 tons/ha due to many factors, including upland rice is a variety of rice cultivation, namely rice cultivation on dry land. The Indonesian Center for Rice Research has produced New Superior Varieties (VUB) for upland rice for planting on dry land. Some of the VUBs that have been released include: Situ Patenggang, Inpago 8, Inpago 9, Inpago 10, and Inpago 11. This research was carried out on the Red Yellow Podsolik land, held in March 2021, located at the Agricultural Technology Research and Assessment Installation (IP2TP) experimental garden of AIAT Riau, Jl. Raya Kubang, Kubang Jaya Village, Kampar Regency, Riau. Parameters observed in this study were plant height, number of productive tillers, panicle length, weight of 1000 grains and weight of grain per plot. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adaptation of new high yielding varieties of upland rice on PMK land in Riau Province. The experiment was carried out using a completely randomized design (CRD). The treatments were 5 new upland rice varieties with 4 replications, so that 20 plots of experimental units were obtained and each plot consisted of 16 plants and 4 plants were used as samples.The results showed that the Inpago 9 variety was a suitable variety on the Red Yellow Podsolik land, which was seen from the parameters of 1000 grain weight and grain weight/plot, where Inpago 9 had the highest yield compared to the other 4 varieties (Situ Patenggang, Inpago 8, Inpago, 10 , and Inpago 11.
