Abstract
The article considers three promising directions in the field of information systems automation which enable qualitatively improve the effectiveness of the construction companies: “cloud technologies”, intellectual data processing (with a focus on Big Technology Data) and mobile and wireless communications (primarily mean Wi-Fi). Not only interesting directions in the construction field are presented, but also achievements in other areas, holding leading positions in the field of automation (banking area, mobile technologies, etc.) that can be adapted for the building industry. Attention is drawn to the principles, basic ideas and methods laid down in one direction or another, as well as specific technical solutions. Such solutions include the use of Big Data technology in the construction and operation of high-rise buildings, application of Wi-Fi technology in structured cabling systems, application of wireless technology in logistics, the use of the geostationary satellite communications when constructing in remote areas where other types of communication are impossible, the application of the radio communication in operational work at the construction site. The feasibility of these solutions is evaluated both from economic and technical points of view. The exceptional prospects of the "cloud technologies" direction are noted, the specific “cloud” solutions of the Russian IT companies are given.
