Leptotrichia buccalis: a novel cause of chorioamnionitis

Abstract

Intra-amniotic <em>Leptotrichia buccalis</em> has not been previously associated with adverse pregnancy outcome. We report a case of chorioamnionitis and pregnancy loss associated with this primarily oral commensal. We review <em>Leptotrichia buccalis</em> and other oral commensals that have been identified in cases of intraamniotic infection.
