NONEXTENSIVE THERMOSTATISTICS AND FRACTALS

Abstract

We discuss the modifications of standard, extensive, thermodynamics that long-range interactions are expected to introduce. In addition to that, by using the generalized entropic form [Formula: see text] (q∈ℜq=1 corresponds to the standard entropy S1≡−kB ∑i pi ln pi) we establish, through a simple identification, that Sq=0 is equivalent to q=df/d, where df and d respectively are fractal and Euclidean dimensions.
