Abstract

In terms of the two-variable Hermite polynomials' properties we derive the common eigenstates |q,λ> of two permutable operators (a†+b)(a+b†) and a†a-b†b, where q is discrete and λ is continuous. These states constitute a complete and orthonormal representation. Applications of the |q,λ> are discussed.
