Abstract
In this paper, we present a new method for searching maximally eight-qubit entangled states. Using 8-tangle and phase parameter orthogonal arrays, we can easily search maximally eight-qubit entangled states and obtain two new forms of maximally entangled eight-qubit states. We find that 8-tangle equaling zero is a necessary condition of maximally eight-qubit entangled states.
