Abstract
The Crooks' probability theorem should be considered as the outstanding result, importance of which is comparable with importance of the Nyquist fluctuation dissipation theorem. In order to understand what the Crooks probability theorem means for the noise electrochemical systems, we have applied the Crooks theorem to a Markovian electrochemical circuit consisting of a double layer capacity and a noise Faradaic resistance (noise RC-circuit). We found that the Crooks probability theorem is ambiguous. Harmonization of Crooks' theorem takes place undoubtedly for a Faradaic process with a Gaussian noise. The question about the applicability of Crooks theorem to non-Gaussian electrochemical systems deserves the separate careful investigations.
