Abstract
Let [Formula: see text] denote the group of self-homotopy equivalences of an elliptic space [Formula: see text] of formal dimension [Formula: see text]. In this paper, we show that if [Formula: see text] is finite, then [Formula: see text] is isomorphic to a certain subgroup of [Formula: see text]. Moreover, we define the subgroup [Formula: see text] of [Formula: see text] and we show that [Formula: see text] provided that [Formula: see text] is odd. Here [Formula: see text] denotes the [Formula: see text]-skeleton of [Formula: see text].
