Abstract

Discrete time random walks on d-dimensional comb lattices are studied by analytical techniques for every integer d ≥ 1, both in unbiased and biased regime. We obtain a closed expression for the spectral dimension [Formula: see text] as a function of the embedding space dimension d, showing that it is always less than 2. We then calculate the exact asymptotic behavior of various quantities related to diffusion and show that they can all be expressed in terms of [Formula: see text].
