Abstract
The resistive behavior of a polycrystalline Y 1 Ba 2 Cu 3 O 7−x superconductor has been studied in the field range 0 < H < 10 KOe , as a function of current and temperature (T > 77 K ). We find nonlinear I – V characteristics V ∝ In at 77 K, in the presence of an applied field. The exponent n is found to be field dependent. At higher temperature, linear flux flow features are evident. The viscosity coefficient for flux flow is obtained, and is seen to be non-constant over the field range. Small differences between (J ‖ H) and (J ⊥ H) behavior are observed.
