X-, γ- and β-Irradiated Y-Ba-Cu-O Superconductor Studied by Thermostimulated Exoelectron Emission

Abstract

The results of measurements of the thermostimulated exoelectron emission (TSEE) from Y 1 Ba 2 Cu 3 O 7-δ superconductor are presented. They were recorded during heating in the temperature range 290–600 K superconductor previously irradiated with X-, γ- and β-radiation. Interaction between electromagnetic or corpuscular radiation and the sample cause the creation of defects which give TSEE maxima for other temperature. The size of maxima depend only on a dose of absorbed radiation. Heating the sample at a temperature T≥550 K completely removes electron traps which were created during irradiation.
