Abstract
The “Cartesian” form of SUq(2) is found consisting of three generators K1, K2, K3 such that K1 and K2 are Hermitian linear combinations of raising and lowering generators of SUq(2). This version is shown to coincide with Odesskii-Fairlie algebra. Overlap functions between eigenstates of K1 and K2 are expressed via Racah q-polynomials being the q-analogy of Wigner D-function.
