Abstract

We compute the Λ weak decay widths in a hypernucleus as a function of the mass number A (A ≳ 50). We make a number of predictions for the mesonic and non-mesonic decays which definitely put to test the model of the "Coherent Nucleus," proposed a few years ago by one of us (G.P.).
