Abstract
We have been developing a nuclear hyperpolarization and polarization transfer system for semiconductors. It enables successive transfers of polarization (angular momentum) from photons to nuclear spins via photo-excited electrons in semiconductors using laser, microwave and multi-channel radio-frequency fields, resulting in the nuclear hyperpolarization in a target material. A part of the system has been completed and successfully applied to the hyperpolarization and polarization transfer experiments in InP and GaAs . The current status of the system is presented together with some preliminary data.
