Abstract

Infrared reflectivities of a bulk modulated icosahedral Al 64 Cu 22 Fe 14 alloy and of a thin icosahedral Al-Mn film were measured from 20 to 8000 cm -1 at temperatures between 5 and 300 K. Our observations showed several common features in the reflectivities of both samples.
