Abstract

We study the eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of the Hamiltonian [Formula: see text] in the classically chaotic regime. It is shown that the overlap of wavefunctions at neighboring α values provides a sensitive measure to demonstrate the onset of chaos in quantum systems.
