Abstract

Singularities with two multipliers, S1=−S2=1, organized in cascades by period doubling, are encountered in m-dimensional diffeomorphisms, m>2. It is shown that endormorphisms with m=2 give rise to singularities equivalent to those of diffeomorphisms with m>2.
