Abstract
The SIL-ICON Compiler is a software system for the specification, interpretation, prototyping and generation of icon-oriented systems. In this paper, the design of the SIL-ICON Compiler is described. An application example to design a text editor using the Heidelberg Icon Set is presented in detail.
