Abstract
ABSTRACTFour novel bacterial species collected from healthy tissues of corn, rice and soybean plants in the United States are described. These include Cellulomonas zeae sp. nov. isolated from corn in Indiana; Lelliottia zeae sp. nov. from corn in Indiana and rice in Arkansas; Paraburkholderia zeae sp. nov. isolated from corn in Iowa; and Sphingomonas zeigerminis sp. nov. from corn in Mississippi and soy in Arkansas. No pathogenic strains are known for any of the novel species based on genome comparisons to assemblies in GenBank.
