Price structure of traded honey, pollen and wax linked to winter survival of a honey bee colony

Abstract

AbstractWe consider the contribution of both honey and pollen to winter survival of a bee colony in order to assess how valuable both these commodities are from the bees’ perspective. In turn, this leads us to a method to help beekeepers evaluate the marketprice of honey and pollen.
