Abstract
Can NCTM standards-based pedagogy positively affect attitudes about learning and doing mathematics? This article addresses that question in relation to preservice teachers enrolled in a middle-years mathematics methods course. The events described also illustrate the applications of Standards-based pedagogy in the classroom.
