Abstract
Graphing is one means of developing and practicing both prenumeration and numeration concepts and skills. It provides experiences in matching, counting, one-to-one correspondence, comparing quantities, and helps children to develop an understanding of terms such as more than, less than, the same as, as many as, taller, shorter, longer than, shorter than, and so on. All such experiences help to lay foundations on which young children can develop further concepts of number.
