Abstract
Our patient was a 61-year-old male who first presented with a diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma and low oxygen saturation at rest. An urgent computed tomography of the thorax revealed a filling defect in the distal left pulmonary artery. We describe our perioperative management of this patient and highlight some challenges in hispostoperative care.
