Abstract

Disparities in early detection of skin cancer are reflected in the disproportionate melanoma-associated mortality among people with skin of colour. To better characterize the drivers of this disparity, we sought to investigate differences in skin cancer surveillance by total body skin examination stratified by Fitzpatrick skin type through a patient survey during focused dermatology clinic visits at a tertiary academic institution.
