Abstract

Abstract The epidermal cysts are benign cysts most commonly found in the head, neck and trunk. An epidermal cyst of the knee is an unusual complication developed after total knee arthroplasty. Here, we present a case of an 83-year-old man with a palpable mass in the left knee located beneath the scar, 3 years after total knee arthroplasty. The patient underwent complete surgical excision of the mass. Histological analysis revealed an epidermoid cyst.
