Abstract
Abstract
A method for the chemical determination of diethylstilbestrol has been described which is useful for the assay of this drug and for its determination in tissue extracts. The procedure has been validated for the range of 0.005-0.125 mg., in which Beer's law is obeyed. A limited number of substances has been examined for possible interference, all of which gave negative results. Fats or lipoids do not prevent the formation of a colored complex, but the turbidity due to their presence interferes with exact color measurements.
