Abstract
Spectral data are presented for 10 intermediates, 25 dyes, and 2 side-reaction products that are related to FD&C Yellow No. 6. Also included are purification procedures for the intermediates and side-reaction products and methods of synthesis and purification for the corresponding dyes. Spectral data consist of acid, base, and neutral curves in the visible and ultraviolet regions. Also included are infrared spectra. Molar extinction coefficients are calculated for the visible and ultraviolet spectra.
