Reflections on the Persistent Issue of Relevance in Public Administration

Abstract

Abstract Relevance was a central issue at the Minnowbrook I Conference in 1968, reflecting a long-standing concern prior to that seminal gathering. It has also repeatedly been raised, debated, and investigated at follow-up meetings, including the Minnowbrook II and III Conferences, and in relevant publications. In this piece, we want to keep the conversation going and reflect the discussions and comments by scholars from various subfields of our discipline and at various stages in their careers.
