Abstract
Abstract
In this prolegomenon to my book in progress, I posit insects as an especially apposite focal point through which to investigate the constellation of European, Indigenous, and Afro-diasporic knowledges about West Indian nature. I also delineate how this focus on insects allows us to think anew long-standing literary critical problems of setting, semiotics, and figuration.
